Front Desk Agent
We are looking for a year round, full-time, second shift front desk agent. The hours are 3pm-11pm. The shifts are Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Wednesday and Thursday off. This may change based off staff needs. There is some flexibility in the schedule as we understand our staff have responsibilities outside of work. Our current staff have been here for 3-10 years, we pride ourselves on a healthy work environment that supports our staffs individual needs.
Duties include;
· Provide warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests including use of guest name & good eye contact with each guest
· Provide extensive concierge services to guests – making restaurant reservations, giving directions to local areas & attractions, calling transportation services, etc.
· Some cash handling
· Adhere to the policies of the hotel as set forth in the Employee Handbook
· Remain alert, courteous and helpful to the guests at all times
· Process check-ins and check-outs
· Verify billing and properly handle secure credit card information.
· Create reservations and process special requests while still adhering to company policy
· Navigate Room Master proficiently
· Assists guests by having knowledge of hotel property and hours of operation of hotel services
· Flexibility to work a varied schedule due to business levels and industry demand
· Work as a team player in meeting guests needs, and actively contribute to the efforts of other departments when necessary
· Monitor room availability and follow all booking policies and procedures
· Keep lost and found log up to date and immediately call guests as soon as an item is discovered
· Accept packages from various shipping companies and keep package log up date
· Be aware of parking lot spaces and help guest pull in or direct them to a more suitable parking lot/street.
· Coordinate with all departments during check-in and check-out to make it as seamless as possible
· Mail guest belonging via USPS and properly charge guests for postal fees
· Have basic knowledge of maintenance; how to change light bulbs, reset smoke detectors, basic maintenance of fire places, tv maintenance, hot water and sediment issues, address air conditioner and heat problems, etc.
· Work directly with OTA’s booking, cancellations and modifications.
· Maintain proper discretion while working with sensitive information
· Navigating and answering a multiline phone
· Police and breakdown Sangria Station
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
