As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining Sunstream Swiftshield mechanisms and related equipment for our clients. You will ensure that the Swiftshield mechanisms operate efficiently and safely, providing exceptional service and support to our customers.
Shift:
- Day shift (7:30AM- 4PM) M-F occasional Saturday if needed

Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to customers with varying levels of technical expertise.
- Proficiency in reading and interrupting engineering drawings and documents.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs. and maintain stamina.
- Occasional overtime availability.
- Punctual, reliable, and able to work with a sense of urgency.
- Valid driver's license and ability to be insured for driving a service van with a trailer.
- Competence in forklift operation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented and able to multi-task.
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with CRM software.
- Problem-solving skills with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Knowledge of boat lifts, Hydraulics, and related products is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of help for the Lead Shoreside Field Technician.
- Install and assemble Swiftshield and covers according to manufacturer specifications and client requirements. Ensure proper alignment, balance, and functionality of the cover system.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, service requests, and service history using our CRM system.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and repairs on Swiftshield mechanisms to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues promptly.
- Ensure that all installations and repairs meet safety standards and regulations. Educate clients on safe operation and maintenance practices for their boat lift systems.
- Interact with clients professionally and courteously, addressing their concerns and inquiries regarding boat lift systems. Provide guidance and recommendations on the proper care and operation of boat lifts.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities. Document any issues encountered during service visits and provide detailed reports with pictures to management and clients as needed.
- Aid with inventory control by conducting daily transactions for material for daily service tasks.
- Assist in the development and implementation of service policies, procedures, and standards to ensure consistency and quality of service delivery.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or vocational training preferred.
- Proven experience in the installation, repair, and maintenance of mechanical or similar marine equipment.
- Perform occasional in-water work as needed.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Familiarity with electrical systems, hydraulic components, and marine hardware.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in various outdoor and marine environments.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, based on client demands.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and work in challenging weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs. from the truck to a dock
