Burgerology is looking for a Restaurant Manager / Shift manager to help oversee our restaurant operations in our NYC locations. We are located inside of the Crowne Plaza HY36 and are a short walk to Madison Square Garden/Penn Station. Our ideal candidate would have experience in scheduling, food ordering, training , expediting and inventories. A "can-do" attitude in relation to guest needs accomplishing tasks. Prior experience with restaurant 365 or a comparable program would be a plus. Hotel restaurant and bar experience to the front of the line. Full service restaurant experience is preferred.
Manager responsibilities include delegating tasks to restaurant staff, addressing diners’ queries and ensuring compliance with safety/health regulations.

Ultimately, you will help us create a memorable dining experience for our guests and help increase our profitability. Burgerology has opened 8 stores in 6 years. We have plans to open 5 more locations in 2025. We are looking for hard working individuals to join our team that can help us grow and grow with us. There is growth opportunity in this position with direct mentorship by General Manager.
Responsibilities
- Delegate tasks to restaurant staff and supervise their performance
- Maintain a fully-stocked inventory and order supplies, as needed
- Arrange to have shifts covered (e.g. when employees take time off)
- Help staff resolve on-the-job challenges
- Track daily costs and revenues
- Balance the cash register at the end of the shift
- Ensure client satisfaction and gracefully handle any complaints
- Open or close the restaurant (when responsible for the first or last shift)
- Inform the next Manager about pending tasks
- Report maintenance and training needs
Skills
- Proven experience/track record as a supervisor or a shift manager of a restaurant
- Good knowledge of restaurant operations (like managing POS systems and opera payments)
- Availability to work different shifts, including weekends
- A customer service approach with the ability to manage complaints with professionalism
- Excellent organizational skills
- Team management abilities
