Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HR Generalist to join our team at VASTEC. As an integral part of our organization, the HR Generalist will play a key role in supporting various HR functions to ensure the smooth operation of our workforce. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of HR principles, excellent people skills, and a passion for fostering a positive work environment. To succeed in this role, you should be familiar with using HR software and tools. You should be able to contribute to the attainment of specific goals and results of the HR department and the organization.
Responsibilities
Employee Relations
· Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and grievances, providing guidance and resolution as needed.
· Conduct investigations and address employee relations issues in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
HR Administration
· Manage HRIS (Human Resources Information System) to maintain accurate employee records and data.
· Process benefits administration, and other HR-related transactions efficiently and accurately.
· Consult with other departments or functions (payroll, etc.)
· Support the recruitment/hiring process by sourcing candidates, performing background checks, assisting in shortlisting, issuing employment contracts
· Respond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and provide assistance
· Maintain records of personnel-related data (payroll, personal information, leaves, etc.) in both paper and the database and ensure all employment requirements are met
Training and Development
· Identify training needs and coordinate employee development initiatives to enhance skills and competencies.
· Assist in the design and delivery of training programs on topics such as compliance, safety, and professional development.
· Coordinate training sessions and seminars
· Perform orientations, onboarding, and update records with new hires
Requirements and Skills
· Three years’ experience as an HR Generalist.
· Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
· Human Resources certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred.
· Thorough understanding of HR principles, practices, and regulations.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
· Strong ability in using MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
· Experience with HR databases and HRIS systems
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
