Focus Workforce Management is hiring 1st and 2nd shift Maintenance Technicians for an international, Fortune 500 company. This is a 90 day temp to hire. Pay is $20+ per hour with a shift differential as applicable for 2nd shift.

General Responsibility – The Facilities Maintenance Technician performs a variety of inspections and upkeep tasks to ensure site operations are functioning efficiently and well-maintained.
Job Duties/Essential Functions:
- Adhere to all safety requirements personally and be aware of the safety aspects of the work you perform and others working with and around you.
- Perform preventative maintenance and repair on assigned equipment.
- Upkeep building and grounds including cleaning and housekeeping.
- Troubleshoot and make repair related to: plumbing, electrical, fire system, air compressors, battery changes, racking systems, painting.
- Conduct and report on EPA compliance inspections/maintenance and other safety compliance inspections and maintenance.
- Communicate with supervisor and production personnel to ensure efficient operations.
- Responsible for organization and housekeeping of plant utilities areas and maintenance shop.
- Assist with the site Preventive Maintenance program.
Qualifications:
- Able to stay on task in an environment of changing priorities.
- Facility maintenance experience including electrical, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics and general building maintenance.
- Experience with inspecting and troubleshooting mechanical systems.
- Ability to read electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic prints is helpful.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with others both verbally and in writing.
- Physically able to bend, squat, twist, push/pull, climb, reach and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Familiar with Lock Out/Tag Out procedures and able to complete training.
- Previous certification on fork lifts/powered industrial trucks and able to complete training.
- Able to wear/use all required PPE to include safety glasses, hearing protection, mechanics gloves (when required), steel toe boots, uniform and others as required.
- Some availability to be on call in cases of emergency would be beneficial.
Requirements:
- Must have a ‘safety first’ mindset and demonstrate safe work practices at all times.
- Must have/complete required OSHA training and all Newell Safety Programs
- Must have own toolbox and hand tools, able to use power tools.
