Position Summary and Responsibilities:
The warehouse associates play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency, accuracy, and safety of warehouse operations, ensuring that goods are received, stored, and shipped in a timely and organized manner.
Preparing outgoing shipments for delivery by carriers, arranging transportation as needed, and ensuring that shipments are properly labeled and documented. They may also receive returned items from customers and process them accordingly.
Responsible to Maintain proper inventory product rotation.
Retrieving items from storage based on pick lists or orders, carefully packaging them according to specifications, and preparing them for shipment.
Accepting incoming shipments, verifying their contents against invoices or manifests, and securely storing them in designated areas within the warehouse.
Usage of stand-up lift or electric pallet jack when need to perform job duties
Examine paperwork to ensure appropriate products and quantities match inbound loads, and products are appropriately handled.
Inspect trailer on which product was delivered and complete the Inbound Inspection Report.
Review the Purchase Order to ensure items received in the warehouse are accurate.
Ensure the pack/size and description on the PO matches the physical product on the warehouse dock.
Review breakdown sheet to ensure the recorded amounts match the total product quantity received.
Assist with inventory relocation to outside storage.
Keeping the warehouse clean and organized, following safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents or injuries, and reporting any safety hazards or concerns to supervisors.
Collaborating with other warehouse staff, supervisors, and sometimes other departments such as FSQA, purchasing or customer service to ensure smooth operations and timely fulfillment of orders.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
High School diploma / GED
Must be 18 years or older
At least 1 year warehouse experience
Must pass drug screen and physical exam
Forklift, pallet jack and mid-rider experience preferred
Clean driving record
Ability to strictly adhere to safety guidelines
Basic reading and spelling skills for completion of paperwork
Good communication skills
Ability to receive and follow directions
Ability to multi-task
Strong attention to detail
Physical Requirements:
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
Able to lift 65+ lb., stoop, kneel, crouch and bend.
Must be able to stand on your feet all day and work in a cold (32-40º) environment.
