This position is eligible for up to a $5,000 sign on bonus depending on experience for RN Licensure.
The Supervising Registered Nurse will be responsible for all nursing department activities and procedures, as well as the clinical supervision of the Head Nurse & Staff Nurses. S/he will be supervised by the Program Director in all administrative matters and by the Medical Director in all medical aspects.
Duties to include but not limited to are:
1. S/he will supervise the Staff Nurse(s) and provide oversight for the clinical operations of the nursing department.
2. S/he will be involved in the hiring and firing of all nursing personnel.
3. S/he will ensure that the Nursing Department maintains compliance with all DPH, CARF and Nurse Practice Act regulations as well as agency policies and procedures relating to nursing activities.
4. S/he will provide for the agency, as needed, either by information review, consultation or direct observation, all relevant behavioral and medical assessments associated with patient care.
5. S/he will perform evaluations of the Staff Nurses as required.
6. S/he will provide statistical and other reports as required by the Program Director and Medical Director.
7. S/he will understand and correctly utilize all computer programs in daily operations.
8. S/he has the knowledge and skills required to provide services to adult patients.
9. S/he develops a positive therapeutic working relationship with patients including modifying interventions to meet the values and expectations of the patients.
10. S/he will maintain a current Connecticut Certification/License at all times.
11. S/he will perform additional duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40.00 - $48.00 per hour
