Production Tech 1 Job Purpose: To prepare components for manufacturing or repair. Production Technicians will perform all duties to meet all standards for safety, quality and efficiency.
Production Tech 1 Job Duties:
- Read, follow, and meet expectations for quality standards, cycle times, and throughput.
- Positions and aligns parts in the specified relationship to each other in jig, fixture, etc.
- Crimps, screws, bolts, press fits, cements, solders, or perform similar operations to join or secure parts in place using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment.
- Clean parts using power tools, cleaning solutions, air hoses, and cloths.
- Performs on-line go/no-go testing and verification, using magnifying devices, measuring instruments, and electronic test equipment, to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.
- Assists in quality and productivity improvement activities.
- Complete maintenance, service and evaluation reports.
Skills/Qualification:
- Read and interpret work instructions, schematic drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine material requirements and assembly instructions.
- Use basic hand tools and power tools safely and accurately.
- Ability to effectively use simple measurement gauges, repair tools, and electronic testers.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude including use of hand tools, power tools, and basic inspection equipment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
- Must be able to pass a respirator fit test, no facial hair allowed if applying for position in required area.
- Good motor skills and the ability to do fine assembly
- Capable of working independently to a production schedule

Experience and Training:
- High school or equivalent
- Experience working within a Lean Manufacturing facility is preferred.
- Understanding of proper data recording
- Experience in a medical-device manufacturing environment is preferred.
Work Conditions: • Schedule is 40 hours per week Monday through Friday • Bench work, long hours sitting with use of handheld equipment • No travel
