Position Description Summary
Title: Neighborhood Coordinator Location: Dallas, TX
Department: DLF Neighborhoods
Reports to: DLF Neighborhoods Director

Job Summary: Under the broad supervision of and working directly with the Director of Neighborhoods of Dallas Leadership Foundation, the Neighborhood Coordinator is the principal staff member responsible for implementing community events, neighborhood rehabilitation projects, managing warehouse materials, managing the tool loaning program, connecting the community to resources and overseeing DLF properties/facilities management.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Meet with partner organizations to ascertain expectations.
- Provide information and connect the community with needed resources
- Meet with community leaders to locate possible community projects.
- Function as a bridge between partner neighborhoods and local schools.
- Perform project management of community events.
- Work with leaders from partnering organizations to promote and raise funds for community development projects.
- Create weekly progress reports for the supervisor.
- Create weekly to-do.
- Train, nurture, and motivate community leadership and other volunteers connected with projects.
- Manage warehouse facilities.
- Project Management of Transform Dallas City-wide Workday
- Manage maintenance of DLF properties.
- Drive or learn to drive DLF owned 24 ft truck
- Provide support logistics during the Treasures of Hope program.
- Attend local and regional church mission conferences, fairs, and Sunday schools as assigned.
- Facilitate all gifts-in-kind, e.g., real estate, estates, vehicles, stocks, etc.
- Be comfortable developing and facilitating training and presentations in front of small and medium-sized groups.
Successful candidates for the position of Neighborhood Coordinator are expected to possess the following qualities and attributes:
Qualifications:
- A mature Christian with experience in ministry service, either full-time or in a volunteer capacity.
- Understands and practices principles of Biblical equality dealing with class, race and gender.
- Computer literate, and able to navigate software programs, databases, and office equipment.
- Strong verbal, writing, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
- Highly motivated self-starter.
- A teachable spirit and a willingness to learn new skills.
- An undergraduate degree is required
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and work well with others.
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Ability to operate small panel truck

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $47,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
