ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Receive parts and miscellaneous purchase order items, verifying count and identity to Receiving Report. Parts requiring inspection are delivered to the inspection area prior to verifying count, and returned for verification, if appropriate. Parts not requiring inspection are visually checked for general condition. Complete receiving paperwork and distribute per established procedures.
2. Store parts according to assigned location, and label with appropriate identifying marks.
3. Receive and verify Inventory Transfer (ITF) items and process as above.
4. Select and prepare part numbered items and rubber tubing according to parts sales order. Package and ship with identifying labels according to established procedures. Complete and distribute proper paperwork.
5. Paint, crate, label and ship shafts weighing up to 1000 lbs (forklift and cranes onsite). Painting is performed in a paint booth with positive air exchange. Crates are built to size for each shipment to conform with written procedures and export requirements.
6. Verify counts and shipping methods to manifest daily.
7. Maintain adequate supply of lumber and other shipping and packaging materials.
8. Select and prepare parts and rubber tubing for shaft and accessory production according to material list. Complete and distribute paperwork according to established procedures.
9. Maintain inventory of part and non-part numbered items used in the manufacturing process.
10. Maintain and issue finished goods inventory.
11. Rotate stock as needed and inform supervisor of stagnant or obsolete items.
12. Conduct pre-count and assist in periodic and annual physical inventory.
13. Apply rust inhibitor to metallic parts to ensure proper working order.
14. Operate secure stockroom at all times to maintain inventory control and to monitor reasonable usage of perishable items, reporting any excessive consumption to supervisor.
15. Maintain neat and clean working area. Inform supervisor of any equipment defects, including calibration of weighing and measuring equipment.
16. Assist in other areas of manufacturing as required.
17. Work in a safe manner at all times, following established policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 1. High school diploma or equivalent, with six months experience desired in a shipping, receiving, or stockroom setting.
2. Carpentry framing skills required.
3. Requires the understanding of shop mathematics together with engineering drawings, specifications, and various types of precision measuring instruments.
4. Computer literacy and a working knowledge of Epicor systems is helpful.
5. Requires the use of judgment to plan, perform and make decisions as to the sequence of operations and processes within the limitations of established or standard methods and procedures.
6. Constant alertness and continuous mental and visual attention required to accurately and safely accomplish all tasks on a daily basis consistent with the shipping schedule.
7. Auto paint experience helpful.
