The Oaks at Denville is seeking a highly energetic Activities Aide to join our team!
The Oaks at Denville is a Springpoint Senior Living community located in Denville, NJ. We are currently seeking a Per Diem Activities Aide to join our team. At Springpoint, our Activities Aide is responsible for providing therapeutic activity programs to the residents.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in organizing, developing, and directing all therapeutic activities for groups or individuals to meet the needs of the residents.
- Assist the Director in planning, organizing, and implementing therapeutic activities.
- Prepare supplies, lists of participants and schedules for each activity. Escort residents to and from groups. Conduct group activities.
- Keep a daily record of types and number of activities in which each resident participated.
- Attend all scheduled educational offerings pertaining to Patient Activities and Resident Care.
- Assist with outings.
Education and Experience:
- Highschool diploma or equivalent required
- Certification from the National Council for Activity Professionals or the National Council of Therapeutic Recreation is preferred
- 2 Years experience in a similar role preferred
