Job Overview:
The Product Owner role at ProLink is responsible for defining new product features, eliciting feedback from clients, designing prototypes, creating user stories with acceptance criteria, managing the product backlog, prioritization, and release coordination.
The role requires a smart, passionate, and enthusiastic person with a willingness to learn a complex industry and grow with our organization over the long term. Technical knowledge of software applications, Excel formulas, UI/UX, prototyping, HTML, and SQL database design is also required for this role.
Customer facing skills such as business process discovery, requirements gathering, user empathy, problem solving, and scope management are also required for this position.

Responsibilities:
· Prioritizes features in the backlog based on commitments, user group features, client change requests, and product vision
· Forecasts delivery of features (quarter/sprint) and works with team to understand allocated resources and capacity
· Designs backlog features with input from technical architects
· Creates wireframes and/or clickable prototypes of new features
· Responsible for creating highly detailed user stories and formulating coherent acceptance criteria to guide the development of backlog items
· Refines and estimates backlog features/stories with development and testing team
· Presents internal and external (user group) demos of newly delivered features
· Coordinates releases (scheduling, versioning, requesting, approving, etc.)
· Reviews / approves release notes and help center content
· Assists with client triage / customer support issues
· Attends industry specific conferences, meetings, standard organizations, etc.
Requirements:
· Preferred experience delivering complex financial software to government agencies and large banks
· Experience leading a development team building a software application
· Critical thinking skills in relation to product behavior and user impact
· Possesses a solid foundational knowledge of APIs, front-end programming, and relational databases, capable of effectively collaborating with technical teams
· UI/UX prototyping in various tools (HTML, Miro, Axure, Webflow, etc.)
· Information architecture and navigation design experience
· Exposure to the Agile project methodology (Azure DevOps preferred)
· Experience with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Access, TFS, Visual Studio)
· Proven ability to manage conflicting priorities
· Display excellent copywriting and editing skills
· Desire and ability to sweat the details
· Maintains a positive and helpful attitude while collaborating with team members
· Able to work comfortably with incomplete information and dealing with ambiguity
