POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a driven and enthusiastic Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our dynamic sales team. The SDR will be instrumental in identifying and qualifying leads, initiating conversations with key stakeholders, and laying the foundation for successful cybersecurity solution deployments. You will understand the key drivers and strategic challenges faced by SMBs and will remain up to date with the newest changes in their prospective industry, with specific attention to growth strategy, compliance, and cyber risk.
You will be responsible for booking qualified appointments into the calendars of our sales team, who are responsible for closing the deal. You will be expected to schedule, reschedule, follow up with and act as required to maximize the opportunities presented to our sales team, which can also include outbound calls and messaging as required. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate who is hungry, skilled, and well-networked. This is an in-person position at a Columbus, OH office with a generous base salary + commission, and OTE at $65k+ per annum.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your primary responsibility is to book sales calls into our sales team calendar, utilizing the following means:
- Lead Generation: Utilize a variety of channels, including outbound calls, emails, social media, and industry events, to identify and qualify potential leads interested in cybersecurity solutions.
- Prospecting: Conduct thorough research on target industries, verticals, and personas to tailor outreach strategies and engage with decision-makers effectively.
- Outbound Outreach: Initiate meaningful conversations with prospects to understand their cybersecurity challenges and pain points, positioning Sabre as the trusted partner for addressing their security needs.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate records of prospect interactions, activities, and opportunities in the CRM system, ensuring visibility and alignment across the sales team.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the sales team to transition qualified leads and opportunities, providing valuable insights and context to facilitate the sales process.
- Continuous Learning: Stay informed about emerging cybersecurity threats, industry trends, and regulatory requirements to effectively engage with prospects and address their evolving security concerns.
- Performance Metrics: Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly targets for lead generation, prospect engagement, and opportunity conversion, contributing to the overall growth and success of the sales organization. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate success in strategic prospecting, positioning, as well as naturally connecting and networking with prospects and potential partners through phone calls and social media as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Sales/Business Development Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in B2B Sales. Experience within the cybersecurity industry may help your understanding of our solution, but it is not required.
- Solution Selling: Proficient in consultative selling techniques, with a focus on understanding client pain points, identifying opportunities, and positioning appropriate solutions to address specific business challenges. Ability to convey the unique value proposition of Sabre cybersecurity offerings and differentiate them from competitors.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts in a clear and compelling manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Customer Focus: Demonstrated customer-centric mindset with a passion for understanding client needs and delivering tailored cybersecurity solutions that address specific business requirements.
- Resilience: Ability to handle objections and rejection professionally, maintaining persistence and determination in pursuing leads and opportunities.
- Team Player: Collaborative mindset with a willingness to work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and technical experts, to achieve common objectives.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment, quickly adapting to changing priorities, market dynamics, and customer requirements.
BASE COMPENSATION:
The hired individual will receive a base compensation package of $45,000 per annum.
COMMISSION COMPENSATION:
A commission-based compensation is added to this base salary dependent on the number of quality appointments booked and shown, as well as the number of clients closed as a direct result of these actions.
The compensation breaks down as follows:
- Per quality call booked & seen = $50
- Per new client closed = 10% of total First Month's MRR
- The minimum KPI’s to be hit are: 20 quality calls booked and shown per month
20 x $50 = $1,000
That will produce a minimum of 2 clients per month
2 x 10% of Avg MRR per Client = $630
Total compensation = Base + $50 per quality call booked & shown + 2 *10% of Average MRR per Client
Total compensation = $3,750 + $1,000 + $630 = $5,380 / month
All newly hired Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) will be subject to a 30-day probationary period upon commencement of employment. During this period, performance, adherence to company policies and procedures, and overall suitability for the role will be evaluated. At the conclusion of the probationary period, a formal performance review will be conducted to assess the SDR’s progress and determine continued employment status.
