Job Description: Join Holliday Rock Company as a Credit Representative and contribute to our legacy of success in the construction materials industry. You will play a crucial role in managing our credit operations, ensuring the financial health of our business while fostering strong relationships with our diverse customer base. Your dedication and expertise will impact our ability to thrive as the largest independently owned and operated ready mix concrete producer in Southern California.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of accounts, maintaining strong customer relationships while ensuring timely collections
- Organize and document payment details as needed including cash, checks, and credit cards
- Assist in the gathering and/or entry of preliminary lien notices as needed to ensure lien rights are maintained
- Help complete all requested lien releases from customers to ensure timely payment
- Assist in resolving NSF checks and credit card chargebacks for accounts under your responsibility
- Manage liens and bond claims related to assigned accounts
- Support in resolving billing issues related to pricing, fees, and/or labor compliance, particularly concerning payment withholdings
- Collaborate with the Credit Manager to support various credit-related tasks and projects and junior members of the team as assigned
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in credit management or a related role within the construction materials industry
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills
- Strong understanding of construction credit principles, collections procedures, and mechanics lien rights
- Familiarity with lien and bond claim processes is highly desirable
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and work independently when necessary
