THE POSITION: *Marriage and Family Therapist (Adult & Adolescent Campus)*

*RESPONSIBILITIES:*
·Oversee cases, providing individual and family therapy; evaluating family dynamics and presenting concerns in patients.
· Participate in treatment team meetings, integrating feedback from medical and group therapist staff into patient treatment.
· Complete documentation in a timely manner in accordance to site policy and participate in insurance reviews.
· Lead and/or participate in occasional group therapy session/workshop.
· Aid patients and families in developing treatment goals and treatment plans.
· Aid patients and families in understanding past events and their influence on current beliefs, emotions, and behaviors.
· Utilize a systems approach even in individual therapy.
· Help patients develop strategies and skills to change their behavior and to cope with difficult situations.
· Address patients’ social skills and aid appropriate social development with peers.
· Attend to safety concerns and coordinate with staff in maintaining awareness of safety risks.
· Complete clinical assessments
· Participate in discharge planning, including referral suggestions for aftercare manager, and behavioral contract development with families.
· Participate in and help lead family therapy intensives (multi-day in person family therapy sessions).
· Other duties as assigned by the Adolescent Program Clinical Director

Location: Greenville, FL (approximately 45- to 50-minute commute from Tallahassee, FL and Valdosta, GA)
*MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:*
· Masters in mental health counseling, psychology or social work required. Other graduate degrees that lead to MHC, MSW or MFT licensure are acceptable.
· Preferred degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Couple and Family Therapy, or similar
· Licensure is preferred
·A variety of clinical theories and modalities, including CBT, DBT, ACT, EFFT, IFS, Narrative Therapy, Bowenian Systems Theory, Structural and Strategic Therapies, Solution Focused and Strengths Based Approaches.
· Experiential approaches to therapy and comfort utilizing experiential methods of therapy.
· Human development and various realms of normal adolescent development.
· Cultural concerns relevant to family therapy and experienced by adolescents in the current climate.
· Substance use, addition, and self harming behaviors.
· Behavior management techniques and comfort navigating behavioral challenges.
· Ethical clinical practice and healthy therapy alliances.
· De-escalation techniques and safety awareness.
· Systems oriented approach to work with patients, families, as well as facility dynamics.
· The use of technology in conducting therapy (zoom).
