Responsibilities:
Supervising small groups of children in the classroom and during outdoor play;
Working with Lead/Co-Teacher to implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum that meets the needs of all children;
Supporting children as a facilitator of learning throughout the day;
Modeling positive and appropriate language and behavior;
Assisting Lead/Co-Teachers with classroom documentation;
Communicating child concerns and family needs to Lead/Co-Preschool Teacher and management; and
Arriving to your class and meetings prepared, on time, and ready to teach
Set-up and oversee learning centers;
Maintain the cleanliness of classroom space;
Prepare materials and supplies;
Assist children with bathroom needs - this includes diapering and helping with clothing as needed; and
Leading circle time, story time, and music sessions
Actively participate in team planning and training
Qualifications
2 years working experience with preschool age and infant age children
MUST BE ABLE TO MULTI-TASK
Caring, nurturing provider with experience in infant care
Team player – able to work as part of a teaching team as well as work independently
Able to lift up to 50 lbs
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday8:30am-4:30pm
- 9:30am-5:30pm
- No Weekends
Experience:
- 1 -2 year experience in Early Childhood Setting (Preferred)
