ABSG Consulting is seeking a Budget Analyst.
What You Will Do:
- Perform studies, analyses, and evaluations related to business information and financial systems, such as requirements analyses, feasibility studies, and cost/benefit analyses
- Analyze, forecast, monitor, and summarize financial data for the management of the contract
- Prepare and submit financial information for reports and data calls; review, monitor, and manage budgets; apply financial analysis, cost estimation, accounting, cost accounting standards; and invoicing knowledge.
- Provide the full range of financial functions for major system development including should‐cost and projected cost analysis and trade studies related to cost trade‐off options
- Define established financial business practices for integration into the client's financial business system; Identify potential problems and recommend solutions through analysis
- Work with functional specialists, automation specialists, contractors, vendors, and clients to effectively translate the client’s requirements into an automated application
- Apply state‐of‐the‐art tools and processes to effectively automate financial applications in the most effective manner while adhering to the established accounting principles and practices
What You Will Need:
Education and Experience
- 10 years’ experience in related discipline
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school in any business-related subject area (Accounting, Finance, Economics)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience with budget analysis, and business information and financial systems
- Background in financial functions, including cost analyses, requirements analysis, feasibility studies, and cost/benefit analysis
Location : This role will ideally be located in the Washington, D.C. area, but we are open to the position being remote.
Reporting Relationships:
Reports to a manager, director, or executive-level position and does not have any direct reports.
