We are seeking skilled and experienced Commercial Refrigeration Service Technicians to join our team in the San Jose area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial refrigeration systems. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can work independently and provide exceptional customer service.
- Installation & Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair commercial refrigeration systems, including walk-in coolers, freezers, ice machines, and display cases.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot refrigeration system issues using technical knowledge and specialized tools.
- Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure systems operate efficiently and prevent breakdowns.
- Customer Service: Interact with clients professionally, explaining technical information in a way that is easy to understand, and provide excellent customer service.
- Compliance: Ensure all work is performed in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
- Documentation: Accurately document all work performed, including service reports and inventory usage.
- Safety: Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial refrigeration service and repair.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certification or apprenticeship preferred.
- Licensing: EPA Certification required; additional relevant certifications are a plus.
- Skills:
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks that require physical exertion.
- Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Competitive hourly wage of $34 - $43 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
