Job Summary:
This position reports to the System Design Department and is responsible for the design, development, and test of electronic systems, components, or circuits for use within Micro Control Burn-In Systems. The individual will use computer assisted engineering design software and equipment to perform assignments.
Key Responsibilities:

Selects components, designs schematics, creates BOMs, and proposes PCB placements.

Partners with drafting to layout and check PCB designs.

Verifies the completely built PCB operation in Micro Control machines prior to release.

Writes test programs to verify hardware. Forwards diagnostic templates to software department for customer implementation.

Breadboards new designs and verify operation using oscilloscopes and other lab equipment.

Responsible for observing existing processes and making recommendations for improvement.

Develops user manuals for print and web that include detailed how-to, maintenance, troubleshooting and warranty information.

Collaborates with Sales team and customers to define product requirements.

Simulates analog circuit designs or highspeed signal integrity.

Responsible for implementing FPGA firmware and verifying design with simulation test fixtures.
- Executes firmware compatibility regression testing with various versions of software and hardware.

Performs all other related duties as requested or assigned.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience in related field.

2+ years relevant engineering experience.

Ability to work cooperatively as a team and independently.

Strong communication and organization skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree

Verilog FPGA logic design and digital simulation experience.

Embedded micro controller FPGA design.
-
Control loop design for thermal control.

Experience writing programs in Python and/or C.

Experience programming microcontrollers.

Experience with analog circuit simulation.

Schematic entry and PCB design.

Cadence Allegro, Intel Quartus, Xilinx Vivado, Aldec Riviera-PRO.
