Senior Budget Analyst
Remote
Grant Leading Technology is seeking a candidate for a Senior Budget Analyst to join our dynamic team. The candidate will develop, analyze, and maintain budgets and financial reports for nationwide infrastructure projects for a federal agency. This position will be remote, and the hours are 8 am to 4:30 pm EST.
Responsibilities:

Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking.

Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support.

Report on financial performance and prepare for project leadership reviews.

Create recommendations to be presented to management and executives.

Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.

Work closely with the Project Management Team and Stakeholders team to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.

Guide the cost analysis process by following and enforcing policies and procedures.

Analyze and interpret data and research lines of accounting and general accounting ledgers.

Provide input to teams for market research, business intelligence, and valuation comparisons

Maintain a strong financial analytical approach with Fiscal forecasts, models and expenditure tracking.

Development of cost lifecycle analyses including Spend Plans, Obligation Plans etc.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:

10+ years of related analytical experience

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, statistics, economics, or business administration

Expert level experience with Excel formulas and functions

Strong analytical and data gathering skills.

Must have government experience.

Must have worked with reconciling PRs.

Must have experience with Prism, Delphi and other government financial systems.

Ability to streamline functions and passion to learn and grow.

Ability to adaptable and persuade.

Minimum 5 years’ experience with automated reporting/forecasting tools

Knowledge of ERP systems and related technologies

Strong quantitative and analytical competency

Excellent team player with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills

Must be proficient in PowerPoint and Access

Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills.

Comfort dealing with ambiguity and the ability to work independently.

Excellent communication and presentation skills; be comfortable interacting with executive level management.
Preferred Skills:
-
FMVA or similar designations preferred.

Knowledge of federal government financial processes, best practices, and terminology
-
Experience working with GSA and knowledge of eRETA system and RWA process.

Familiarity with data query/data management tools is extremely helpful (Access, SQL, Business Objects)
