Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic Payroll/HR Coordinator to join our team and assist while we need help to cover for an employee on LOA. The Payroll/HR Coordinator will be responsible for processing timesheets, updating payroll records, and answering employee questions about payments. Ultimately, you'll ensure employees are compensated correctly and on time.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Processing bi-weekly payroll, utilizing Paycom and in-house system OHM. Including maintaining employee information (deductions, taxes, garnishments, direct deposits, and support orders), reviewing earnings, processing payroll/financial reports.
- Screens daily timecards, enters timecard data, reviews keyed entries, and verifies accuracy of data entry both daily and weekly for reasonableness and consistency. Communicates with supervisors and leads to correct and fix timecard issues.
- Compute employees' time worked, production incentives, and commission.
- Monitors on a daily/weekly basis the Paycom system adding/updating new hires, correction of missing punch exceptions, orphan events, event monitoring, and accrual audits.
- Upload keyed data and batch data into the Paycom system.
- Coordinate with HR about changes in payroll (e.g. terminations, new hires).
- Answer employee questions or complaints about salaries and payments.
- Reconcile all monthly invoices as it pertains to benefits against Paycom to ensure billing accuracy and employee's benefit elections and deductions are correct.
- Maintain a high level of security and confidentially of sensitive information.

- Assist with employee engagement events and activities, including preparation, setup and teardown
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills Required:
- 2+ years of payroll experience, to include preparation, verification, and submittal. Paycom experience is a plus.
- Experience with out-of-state payroll processing is a plus.
- Solid knowledge of California legislation relevant to accounting and payroll (such as FLSA, Wage and Hour, etc.).
- Working knowledge of Meal Penalties
- Comfortable with Excel (functions, data etc.).
- An analytical mind with good math skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Trustworthy with attention to confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; BSc/BA in business, accounting or relevant field is a plus.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus!
