Job Title: YouthPathways Program Manager
Compensation: $75,000 Annual Salary with Benefits
Location: Bronx, NY
Purpose: A socially-conscious company is seeking a Program Manager to oversee a workforce development program that connects low-income and underserved individuals to employment. The program aims to help young adults ages 18-24 with resume building, career counseling, job development, vocational trainings, and referrals to supportive services. The Program Manager will support the Site Director in monitoring contract goals and progress, working 1x1 with youth clients, and managing a team of staff.
Duties and Responsibilities
- With direction from the Site Director, lead youth program and provide high-quality employment and job placement services while meeting and/or exceeding contract goals.
- Duties include but are not limited to: meeting job placement and retention goals, managing program staff, overseeing daily office operations, and handling any issues as they arise
- Support program development and implementation, work with the Site Director to identify strategies for addressing any issues or non-compliance
- Interact daily with at-risk individuals, ensuring they are confident and is able to meet their needs and help them become self-sufficient through employment.
- Support efforts to develop new partnerships, business opportunities, and marketing strategies
- Regularly communicate and liaise with funding agencies
Requirements
- Per government mandate, all employees are required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination
- Minimum of 4-year degree and experience in relevant field
- Advanced degrees highly encouraged
- Three (3) years in workforce development, social services, employment services, and/or adult education preferred
- One to three (1-3) years in supervisory role preferred
- Experience working with low-income and marginalized populations preferred, especially youth and young adults
- Previous experience with job development and/or creating and delivering impactful service plans for participants preferred
- Excellent communication skills, professional demeanor, sound judgment, and strong organizational skills
- Willingness to work collaboratively, but with the capacity to work independently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint preferred
