Position Overview: *Manages all aspects of the Direct and Indirect Purchasing activities and Supplier Quality Assurance functions to foster site competitiveness and ensure the quality of the purchased parts towards zero defects
Responsibilities:
- Manages Purchasing team, ensures staff availability and grow the competence in line with the company expectations
- Pilots supplier relationship
- First interface in front of supplier crisis (quality, delivery, commercial)Drives purchasing team to reach Purchasing Key Performance Indicators
- Defines and implements purchasing performance in line with budget considering all the Purchasing levers
- Leads the material productivities in front of the site Management team
- Manages and supports the buyer’s negotiations with suppliers
- Validates new suppliers to be introduced in the Purchasing panel
- Reduces site exposure to supplier base risk
- Warrants the application and the progress of the Supplier Integration within the site (internal referential, certifications, procedures, purchasing tools)
- Ensures strict follow up and compliance of supplier operational data (pricing, charge back, litigations, QCD reports)
- Responds to external quality system audits with the support of the Purchasing team
Qualifications:
- Seven (7) years of progressively responsible purchasing and materials control experience, including at least three (3) years in an automotive industry managerial position.
- Must be self-motivated, well organized, results oriented, a team player and have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills
