Position Summary:
The UAT Tester is responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of application/platform by conducting user acceptance testing. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to validate that systems meet specified requirements and are ready for release to production. The UAT Tester will play a crucial role in identifying and documenting defects, ensuring a seamless user experience.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and execute detailed test plans, test scripts, and test cases based on business requirements and user stories.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand system requirements.
- Conduct user acceptance testing to validate that applications meet end-users' needs and expectations.
- Document and prioritize defects, issues, and inconsistencies encountered during testing.
- Effectively communicate with development teams, business analysts, and project managers to ensure a clear understanding of testing objectives and outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.
- Execute test cases to ensure the functionality, performance, and reliability of software applications.
- Identify, isolate, and track defects throughout the testing process.
- Perform regression testing to validate that software changes do not negatively impact existing functionality.
- Maintain accurate and detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test execution results.
- Provide timely and comprehensive reports on testing progress and outcomes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the testing lifecycle.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices and methodologies.
Education and Experience:
- Associate Degree or equivalent experience required
- Five (5) or more years in financial industry with an emphasis in, Financial Bank Card industry
- Proven experience as a UAT Tester or in a similar quality assurance/testing role.
- Familiarity with testing tools and methodologies.
- Experience with Fiserv (FDR)/similar and any case management related platforms preferred
Summary of Qualifications:
- Proficiency in key Regulations and procedures such as REG Z/E, FCRA, Red flags, association rules, etc.
- Strong understanding of functional requirement development life cycle and testing methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Experience with testing tools such as JIRA or similar.
- Familiarity with agile development processes.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of industry best practices in software quality assurance.
- Experience in Enterprise Applications, supporting internal and external stakeholders.
- Advanced MS Suite experience (pptx, excel, and Visio).
