Responsibilities:
POSITION OUTLINE:
The Fleet Manager is responsible for overseeing the management, maintenance and operation of the company’s fleet of 90+ vehicles and trailers. This role ensures that company vehicles and trailers are in good working condition, compliant with safety standards and efficiently utilized to support the company’s construction projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Fleet management through computer software system (B2W)

Ensure driver safety and compliance with company policies.

On board new drivers. Verify records and confirm abilities.

Vehicle assignments. Maintain database with current drivers on assigned equipment.

Record keeping of vehicle maintenance and repairs. Scheduling as needed.
- Apply for and renew all DOT permits, inspections, and registrations.

Monitor fueling. Track quantities and cost.

Incident/accident reporting.

Annual driver review.

Dispatch

Coordinate material and equipment deliveries with job sites.

Maintain and report through telematics equipment locations.

Create and distribute daily trucking schedules.

Coordinate any outside truck hire.

Maximize efficiency and productivity of fleet.

Confirm all deliveries and quantities delivered.

Monitor cleanliness and operation of all equipment.

Support shop operations.
Qualifications:
Skills
-
2-5 years Fleet Management or related experience.

Strong organizational, multi-tasking and communication skills.

Strong computer and equipment management software skills.
-
Knowledge of construction equipment and transportation regulations.
-
CDL license (Preferred but not required).
