Responsibilities:
The Category Support Coordinator is responsible for the coordinating of data elements for products in the assortment. Typical activities include: new item introduction, item expansion, test items, and communication/coordination with vendor contacts. Expectation is that coordinators execute product information exchanges between 7-Eleven master systems and vendors in a high volume, low error tolerance environment.
Coordinate new product set up information with vendors with a strong attention to detail for nuances related to distribution type and internal strategic initiatives.- Build and maintain relationships with impacted business units inside of 7-Eleven as well as Vendor relationships outside.
- Extract product information from 7-Eleven systems using SQL, Access and SEI Proprietary systems.
- Synchronize product information between vendor communications and 7-eleven systems using advance level excel skills.
- Review product information for completeness and accuracy, identify and escalate issues appropriately.
- Completes and submits product information change request forms for management approval and data processing.
- Review product information in 7-Eleven systems for inconsistencies and inaccuracies.
- Research issues to identify root cause and recommend resolution.
- Execute cross-functional tasks based on priority and volume of workload.
- Communicate and escalate issues to the Supervisor as appropriate.
- Coordinates product information changes with Vendors and respective Category Managers to align assortment.
Qualifications:
- High School + Equiv Exp or Bach/4 Yr Degree.
- 2 Years of Retail Product.
- Position requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Advanced working knowledge of Excel (must be able to efficiently and effectively
execute VLOOKUPs, IF Statements, and Pivot Tables).
- Effectively operates in a high volume environment while achieving minimal error rates.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Thorough understanding of retail/inventory attributes is preferred
