Summary
The Parts Warehouse Manager is responsible for directing, training, and coaching warehouse employees to ensure a safe, efficient, and profitable operation. Meeting Branch and Corporate objectives and maintaining superior customer satisfaction.
Essential Functions

Promotes safety through own work habits. Enforce safety standards with all employees and ensures safe working conditions are maintained.

Leads by example, showing a sense of urgency and dedication to customer satisfaction. Resolves customer complaints and issues, internal and external, promptly.

Embodies our core values and instills them into the teams’ actions through planning, mentoring, and leading by example.

Coordinates activities of 1st and 2nd shift warehouse employees associated with stocking, picking, packing, delivering, returning, and shipping materials, supplies, tooling, and equipment.

Manages and evaluates warehouse employee work performance for exactness, neatness, and conformation to policies and procedures – provides ongoing support, mentorship, and accountability towards individual performance.

Works closely with Parts and Service supervisors/managers across multiple branches to resolve any pick, pack, and delivery issues. Collaborates collectively to develop processes and controls to improve operations.

Ensures SQDC boards are maintained and utilized, and daily team huddles are executed to review daily task, expectations, and performance for the team.

Performs daily Gemba walks with Warehouse Supervisors and Leads to identify 6s concerns and task status.

Performs weekly Gemba walks with Parts leadership to identify 6s concerns and task status.

Coordinate semi-annual surplus returns to CAT including shipping for all stores.

Performs annual performance reviews with employees.

Drive and organizes process improvement focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost avoidance to enhance customer performance and to meet annual performance goals.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

3-5 years of proven experience and understanding of customer experience (CX), warehouse operations, customer service, counter operations, logistics, and continuous improvement

Can think outside current circumstances, develop new and effective solutions, and recognizes unique opportunities to improve the space and workday for your team members.

Excellent planning ability, which ties corporate vision and strategy to all decisions.

System knowledge - DBS, Parts Viz, SAP, and other system related tools.
Computer Skills
Previous demonstrated experience with DBS, Parts Viz, SAP, Microsoft Office, and other system related tools.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Forklift driver licenses.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

The noise level in some work environments is occasionally loud.
