THE OPPORTUNITY
The Private Investments (PI) Project Team provides leadership, stewardship, and project management of CA’s PI data, technology, and strategic partnerships to strengthen CA’s leadership and brand in private markets and generate incremental revenue for the firm. Sitting at the intersection of CA’s PI data and technology, we work to ensure CA’s investment teams and clients are equipped with competitive and innovative PI data and decision-making tools. Additionally, we oversee several partnerships with prominent organizations that help to reinforce CA’s status as a leader in the industry.
The Assistant Project Manager on the PI Project Team will drive multiple projects of various size and complexity focusing on enhancement of existing processes/tools/applications and/or creation of new processes/tools/applications in the private investments space. The Assistant Project Manager is expected to simultaneously manage projects of varying scope and scale as the core of their role. In addition to managing projects, the individual will support and collaborate with team leadership in identifying initiatives for the group as a whole and could be asked to manage other team members based on team growth and need.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide leadership on project management tasks under the direction of the team’s Management
- Create independently or contribute to the creation of project plans, requirements, success metrics and schedules, depending on project scale
- Analyze project data to identify problems, produce insights, and make recommendations
- Execute on project plans by assigning work, scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, creating tracking sheets, managing risks and scope changes, and documenting
- Participate in ongoing projects within the team such as creation of new benchmarks, production of quarterly deliverables, and onboarding new managers to CA
- Serve as a subject matter expert on CA’s private investments datasets, methodologies, and technology for colleagues, clients and other industry participants
- Participate in and/or lead the onboarding, training, and support of CA colleagues and clients using our PI Technology tools

- Build relationships across departments to facilitate cross functional projects
- Bring creative solutioning and outside the box thinking to complex challenges
QUALIFICATIONS
- BA/BS required
- 6+ years of experience supporting projects and/or data and technology-related initiatives with increasing responsibilities over time
- Private investments experience is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate with internal and external parties at all levels
- Strong relationship management skills and experience influencing and ability to bring multiple groups together to agree and build consensus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to synthesize large volumes of information from multiple sources to identify themes and opportunities
- Ability to multitask and effectively prioritize competing priorities
- Ability to work cross-functionally to implement key projects, including coordination with IT to define and execute on requirements
- Ability to develop creative solutions and recommendations to complex problems
- Self-starter who works successfully both independently and in a team environment
- Strong Excel skills required. SQL skills a plus
