Our Robotics Technician / Application Engineer will have in-depth interaction with our robotic metal fabrication systems and with the customers who purchase them. This person will be a prime contact for customers in evaluation of customer needs, programming customer applications and training customers on their worksite. In addition, this role is a primary conduit to our Engineering team for information we use to enhance our systems and customer experience. The Application Engineer will receive in-depth training on our AutoTend robotic brake tending system and will work closely with a Robotics Engineer to build skills and application knowledge and grow as a valued team member.
This is a great entry level position that will allow for hands on learning and the ability to have an immediate impact on our growth.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
· Create new mechanical designs and maintain existing mechanical designs. (AutoDesk Inventor and AutoCad)
· Transform designs to working parts using additive manufacturing, laser cutting, machining, and other manufacturing methods. (RAISE3D Printers, Trumpf Sheet Metal Equipment, and outsourcing to vendors)
· Lead design projects from infancy to completion
· Create system documentation and records
· Program complex robotic systems
· Construct and document standardized manufacturing processes
· Develop Bills of Materials
· Research robotic systems and components
· Create production routings
Evaluating and calibrating systems for maximum efficiency
Troubleshooting robotics systems and applications
Other duties as assigned

Pay: $47,080.91 - $56,699.59 per year
