Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience
License Required: Obtain state insurance adjuster licenses as required within the first 60 days of employment.
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience handling BI losses in a team environment
- Handle moderately to highly complex cases.
- Monitor changes to state specific case law and advise staff.
- Obtain facts to evaluate coverage, medical necessity, mechanics and causation/damages.
- Manage and coordinate activities of assigned defense counsel, coverage counsel, investigators, experts or adjusters pertaining to large complex losses.
- Establish and maintain appropriate claim reserves.
- Coordinate potential fraud investigations with SIU.
- Comply with state specific regulations and state fair claim practices requirements.
- Manage expenses through appropriate vendor oversight.
- Represent the claim department to our customers, retail agents, regulatory authorities, and other contacts to promote the Company’s image and mission.
- Maintain quality claim files in accordance with appropriate best practices and claim handling file expectations.
- Participate in individual and department training as needed.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Provide mentoring and resources to the claim representatives.
KSA’s (knowledge, skills, abilities):
- Excellent oral and written communication, decision making, analytical, problem solving, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Office software programs, including MS Word, Excel, and various databases.
- Complete state continuing education as required to maintain adjuster licensing.
- Ability to work independently.
- Practical thinker and intuitive decision maker.
- Organized yet flexible.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $58,449.00 - $63,096.00 per year
