Women’s Category Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:
Our company is currently experiencing rapid growth and we are seeking a highly creative and analytical Women’s Category Manager. This individual is responsible for driving the direction and strategy for the women’s category. The ideal candidate has the ability to work cross functionally to strategically and creatively maximize the women’s category for consumer appeal.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create merchandising strategies based on consumer insights, market trends, and sales data
- Create Seasonal Line Plans in collaboration with Design, Product and Merchandising teams
- Work cross-functionally with product, marketing and sales to communicate clear strategy and direction
- Collaborate with marketing and sales to develop seasonal Go-To-Market plans
- Develop an effective plan to achieve budgeted goals in sales, margin, operating profit, customer purchases, re-purchase, retention and customer satisfaction
- Determine and plan the positioning of a product category to maximize profitability
- Foster relationships with vendors pertaining to sales and product development
- Liaise with Marketing teams to determine competitive pricing and promotional activities of a product category
- Communicate with Production team and Sales to ensure inventory levels meet customer demands
- Develop exit strategies for unsuccessful products
- QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4+ years of proven experience as a category manager or merchandiser within an apparel brand
- Excellent group presentation skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal; able to convey complex information to a broad audience
- Strong knowledge of category management, strategic sourcing, marketing, and sales principles
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, highly organized and manage time effectively
- Experience in reviewing product line data
- Cross functional collaboration experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
