Lichtefeld, Inc. is looking for a professional electrical designer/project manager – Electrical and or Mechanical willing to grow with our 100 year old commercial Design/Build Construction Company. This is a long term full time job. We need a professional that can, not only design electric for our building projects, but manage the electrical discipline during construction as well. We expect our designers to have full control of the big picture when designing MEP together. You will assist in coordinating all MEP disciplines. You won't be limited to electrical solely. Our process allows you as the designer, to get out in the field and verify that your design is being installed correctly and all mechanical's are coordinated accordingly to achieve a streamlined finish product. You will be involved and take the lead on all aspects of the MEP construction process.
Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Preliminary design and scope of work
- Preliminary electrical/mechanical budgets
- Coordinate with mechanical designers to produce final design and scope of work
- Collect, review, and organize product submittals
- Research of customers’ existing and future equipment and utilities required
- Review mechanical/electrical/plumbing plans with team for accuracy
- Work with team on hard bid projects
- Manage mechanical/electrical/plumbing trades as a project proceeds
Requirements:
- Five years’ experience in electrical design/estimating and project management
- Proficient in the use of the National Electrical Code. Master electrician license preferred
