Summary: Our natural soap and cosmetics manufacturing business in La Porte, IN, seeks an Software Developer & System Integration Manager. This is a hands-on role where you'll work directly with the owner (also a developer) to build new and customize existing software solutions that streamline our manufacturing and office operations. We use GitHub for version control, and the owner will review all pull requests before deploying code to production. You'll work on the shop floor – picking orders, making soap, etc. – to understand how your systems function in the real world. The ideal candidate will have a coding background and a willingness to learn new technologies.

Job Description:
This is a 50/50 split between operations and IT. You'll wear many hats and work across the company, learning the basics of accounting, sales, purchasing, order processing, and manufacturing.
IT Responsibilities:
- ERP customization: We use Odoo (an open-source ERP). You'll modify and enhance it to optimize our workflow. No prior Odoo experience needed – we'll train you.
- Software development: Create new tools and customize existing ones to solve operational challenges.
- Web Development & Marketing Analytics: Integrate Odoo with Shopify, creating a seamless data flow. Develop systems to track marketing effectiveness using Google Data Studio, Airtable, and Odoo, and enhance Shopify's backend for improved performance.
- Tech support: Website troubleshooting, computer setup for new employees, resolving network issues, etc.
Operations Responsibilities:
- Accounting support: Assist with basic accounting tasks and streamline bill matching and overcharge issues using regex scripts.
- Purchasing: Help manage our purchasing processes and develop a user friendly reordering system that works in the physical and digital world.
- Production Scheduling: Contribute to planning and scheduling our production runs.
- General office duties: Pitch in wherever needed.
