The direct care worker is responsible for providing for care to individuals with intellectual disabilities/autism who reside in a group home. Assist the individuals with activities of daily living, i.e. meal preparation, administration of medication, bathing/showering assistance, house cleaning. Transportation to community activities, day habilitation sites, and medical appointments is required. Must be a self-starter and able to work independently. Must be physically able to handle aggressive clients.
Skills: Must be able to read and write. Must be comfortable using a computer. Good driving record a must. A criminal background check is required.
Salary is $10.50 per hour. Schedules is Sunday 10a-10p, Monday, Tuesday, and Friday 2:30-10p. Group homes are located in Fort Bend County. Local applicants only.
