The Catalog Operations Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the catalog business, including product content, order management, inventory management, and logistics. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the retail industry, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Content Management:

Collaborate with catalog production, merch and web content teams on the creation, editing, and maintenance of product content, including product descriptions, images, and other.

Ensure accuracy and consistency of product information across all sales channels.

Work closely with the merchandising team to ensure product information is accurate and up to date.
Order Management:

Manage the processing and fulfillment of catalog online orders, including order intake, picking, packing, and shipping.

Ensure timely and accurate deliver of orders to customers.

Coordinate with Customer Service Care team to resolve any order-related issues.
Inventory Management:

Manage inventory levels, including stock on hand & replenishment, inventory accuracy, back orders, and notifying Merch Team of any deficiencies and Store and Dist. Center Teams of any discrepancies.

Collaborate with vendor partners, suppliers and warehouse teams on timely delivery and processing of merchandise so it can be shipped.
Shipping:

Work with Fulfillment Team to manage the logistics and shipping process, including carrier selection, rate negotiation, and tracking.

Ensure compliance with customer service standards for delivery times and accuracy.
Process Improvement:
Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Team Management:

Supervise a team of catalog operations staff, including order processors, inventory coordinators, and fulfillment coordinators, return processors and shipping associates.

Provide training and guidance to team members to ensure they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
Reporting and Analysis:

Prepare reports on catalog operations performance, including key metrics such as order volume, fulfillment rates, and inventory levels.

Analyze date to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in business, Operations, preferred or related fields.

Minimum 5 years of experience in retail operations, preferably in a catalog or ecommerce environment.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.

Experience with retail operating systems (ROS) such as APTOS, Shopify and Fulfillment Software is desirable.

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
A plus to have:

Experience with catalog management software such as Shopify or similar systems.

Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in catalog operations.

Education or Experience in Retail Buying, Supply Chain Management or Operations & Store Management
