St. Lawrence Catholic School in North Miami Beach, Florida has an opening for a Full-time Pre-school Teacher for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. The applicant must be nurturing, creative and a dedicated professional with the ability to support the learning environment, cultivate critical thinking skills, work collaboratively as part of a team and lead small group lessons. The candidate must be supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church. Salary will vary based on certification and years of experience.
Qualifications:
- 45 hours childcare training with the Department of Children and Families required.
- Childcare certificate with DCF.
- AA degree in Early Childhood education/Child development or related field preferred.
- Able to work collaboratively with peers to promote age-appropriate best practices in early childhood education.
- Ability to collaborate in professional learning communities to develop, implement and continuously improve the effectiveness of the curriculum and instruction to result in high levels of student achievement.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Strong English language communication skills including written, verbal, and public speaking skill.
- Good spelling and grammar required.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel; PowerPoint a plus.
- Excellent presentation skills with use of instructional technologies.
- Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
- Must have knowledge of basic tenets of the Catholic Church.
- Must have a professional demeanor.
