Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and experience in various kitchen settings.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food
- Cook and plate menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out trash
- Help with menu planning and contribute to creating new dishes
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Line Cook or relevant position
- Knowledge of food safety principles and procedures
- Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Culinary school diploma preferred but not required
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
