This role is crucial for guiding boys aged 14-18 through college prep and educational counseling, fostering their personal development, leadership skills, and conflict resolution abilities.

About NDA
Neighborhood Development Area Educational Support Programs provide High School students the services and support they need to do better in school, enter college or an advanced training program, learn leadership skills and develop conflict resolution/mediation skills.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- College experience
Candidate must possess:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as strong classroom management skills.
- Experience developing and implementing curriculum for school youth.
- A high school diploma.
- Must be fingerprinted and proven to be free of any criminal convictions before being hired.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement project-based lesson plans and activities that enrich academic learning, foster personal development and leadership skills of middle school youth.
- Develop appropriate lesson plans and submit them for review to the Program Director.
- Provide opportunities for students to showcase their work.
- Partner with outside agencies and cultural institutions to expand programming and plan trips.
- Maintain accurate participant attendance, activity and sign-out records.
- Document student progress.
- Establish a comfortable learning environment and implement clear, consistent age appropriate expectations and rules.
- Uphold program policies and procedures.
- Maintain proper use of supplies, equipment.
- Uphold classroom cleanliness and organization.
- Attend staff meetings, professional development workshops (15 hours for program year) and program events.
- Communicate with all staff, parents, children, and community members in a polite and respectable manner so as to represent the program in a professional way.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Program Director
