Job Overview:
We are seeking a to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our pediatric patients. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during procedures, doing prophies and radiographs, maintaining patient records, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including preparing the treatment area and sterilizing instruments
- Take and develop dental x-rays and perform other diagnostic procedures as directed by the dentist
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-operative care, and preventive measures
- Follow infection control protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
Skills:
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques used in dentistry (e.g., digital radiography)
- Strong understanding of infection control protocols in a dental setting
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
