Director, IT Merchandise Transformation Core Systems
Locations: Dallas, TX or Akron, OH (Hybrid)

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director of Merchandise Transformation Core Systems will be responsible for owning solutions and systems that support merchandising, planning and inventory management. This position requires experience overseeing large IT projects through the entire program life cycle, including but not limited to, RFP, implementation, integrations within a larger IT ecosystem and partnering with business leaders to help drive transformational process reengineering and process harmonization. As a director, this role is also expected to spend time on people and team development along with building significant relationships with business partners.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Partner with Signet business leaders to ensure requirements for the future-state of Merchandising Core Systems are clear and drive system selection, implementation and ongoing management.

Providing input on overarching transformation strategies that support business objectives and drive customer satisfaction.

Lead, develop, mentor and coach a team of IT managers, developers, architects, project managers and analysts.

Identify opportunities within the Merchandise technology portfolio for delivering innovation and automation, improving employee experience, and optimizing platforms for cost effectiveness and operational efficiencies.

Responsible for providing application managed services and support, whether by internal team members or third-party vendors, that meet or exceed defined service levels and key metrics for critical Merchandise systems.

Responsible for partnering with IT Portfolio Management, Sourcing, IT Vendor Management office and Legal on all Vendor, Contract and Budget Management activities.

Partner with senior leadership team to develop roadmaps and business cases to fulfill long-term vision and growth imperatives set forth for the organization and help deliver value to business stakeholders.

Lead a team responsible for multiple projects and align with business users, stakeholders, steering committees and project teams to ensure successful delivery.

Direct all aspects of systems discovery, design, project management and resource management.

Partner with IT Portfolio management on demand management and prioritization.

Direct the resource management of teams, allocating budgets, tools and specialized support necessary for cost-effective implementations and business user training.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Required:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
Required or Acceptable Job-Related Experience:
-
Minimum 12+ years’ leadership experience on ERP implementations for multi-million- or billion-dollar companies and managing global delivery teams (vendor/internal) to deploy solutions successfully.
Technical/Other Skills Required:

Experience in project management, from conception to delivery

Experience in managing large, complex projects and large teams

Experience managing consultants/contractors at scale

Experience with Merchandising ERP Applications

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Comfortable leading a team through significant change over an extended period of time
