Job Description: Appeals Specialist (Temp-to-Hire, Hybrid after Training)

Pay Rate: $20.00/hour, plus $4.98/hour (up to 40 hours/week) towards 401K

Job Responsibilities:
- Resolve Appeal Cases: Gather and analyze information to issue informal resolutions.
- Ensure Compliance: Maintain adherence to laws and regulations throughout the appeals process.
- Communicate Effectively: Clarify information and address inquiries with appellants.
- Manage Benefits: Update applications and manage benefit coverage as required.
- Utilize Specialized Tools: Handle subsidy allocation and complex scenarios efficiently.
- Schedule Hearings: Arrange and review appeal requests, ensuring timely hearings.
- Coordinate Availability: Provide updates on scheduling and manage hearing availability.
- Additional Tasks: Perform other assigned scheduling responsibilities.
Job Requirements:
- Education: Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Experience: At least 2 years of working experience in healthcare and appeals.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong computer literacy, and the ability to type 35 words per minute.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills are a must.
- Must be able to commute onsite to Jenkins Township
