About the program:

Location: Saint Petersburg, FL (and hybrid remote, in-office Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays).

Timeframe: Length of a Fall Semester.

Hours: 15-25 hours per week, flexible schedule to accommodate class schedule.

Weekly meetings with all the benefits (administration, implementation, and sales) teams.

You will gain valuable, real-world experience that will give an understanding of the various components involved with the life cycle of a health and welfare plan.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide support to DHR benefits team which consists of benefits sales, implementation, and ongoing administration. This can include answering incoming client employee phone calls, troubleshooting basic enrollment issues, and data entry into the payroll and benefit enrollment platform. Assistance with 2025 plan year renewals.

Support the benefits team with daily tasks and projects.

Provide support for new client enrollment in DHR benefit programs.

Answers certain incoming phone calls for the benefits department in relation to health plans and providers.

Can perform data entry projects within reasonable timeframes and with high levels of accuracy.

Reacts within specified time frames to inquiries and internal departments. All inquiries should be responded to within 24 hours even if it’s to advise that research is in progress.

Performs data input and maintains strong prioritization and organizational skills and professional communications in all interactions.

Ability to create internal departmental documents to assist with procedures and/or client communications.
Required Skills and Characteristics:

Interest in Human Resources and/or Benefits Administration.

1-2 years of customer service experience.
-
H.S. Diploma required or equivalent.
-
Experience in Customer Service.
-
Microsoft Office proficiency, including powerpoint.
