Experienced Composite Technician
Requires a motivated, detail oriented Composite Technician to support testing and technical documentation efforts for Group 1 UAS.
Typical Duties:
- Handle epoxies, Kevlar, sealants, fiberglass, metals, and other composite materials.
- Inspects own work for compliance and quality of work, along with the use of handheld precision measuring equipment, such as calipers and micrometers.
- Inspects processed composites for any contamination and/or non-conformances.
- Prepares rejection tags, documents findings, and reports all non-conformances to Project Manager.
- Works both independently and in teams for cross-training and project purposes.
- Assists in training and mentoring peers as needed.
Required Skills:
- Reading comprehension: Interpreting written information such as work instructions, written directions/warnings
- Writing: Involves preparing information or documents such as nonconformance reports and product hand-offs
- Reasoning and decision making; ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines
- Organized
- Basic Mathematics
- Must be proficient with all MS Office applications and Adobe Acrobat.
- Knowledge and use of basic measuring devices and hand-tools
- Ability to communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with people in a collaborative manner.
2 Years experience required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Must be authorized to work in the United States.
