Account Manager for Nurse Practitioner Group in Connecticut and Massachusetts
Impact Health PC, an independent Advanced Nurse Practitioner Group specializing in Medical and Psychiatric consult at Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Facilities, is looking for an Account Manager who is enthusiastic, inventive, a rock-star communicator, and above all, has a track record of creating long-term, trusting relationships in the nursing home space.
The Account Manager’s primary role is to oversee a portfolio of assigned sites and actively seek out new growth opportunities across Connecticut and Southeast Massachusetts
If you are familiar with skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility operations and have general sense of clinical roles in this setting, we want to meet you. Individuals who have worked as Admissions Coordinators and understand clinical jargon, are familiar with marketing and operations are ideal for this role. Those who have held nurse management or administrator positions within nursing facilities may also be a good fit and are encouraged to apply.

Candidates must possess a keen and insightful ability to develop loyal and trusting relationships with nurse management, administrators, physicians and owners of skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities. You must be able to answer questions and present solutions for clinical services and communications. Ability to illustrate differentiators compared to competitors and identify new business opportunities in and around established accounts is vital in this role. You will be expected to liaise with company Operations, Clinical Directors, Advanced Nurse Practitioners and Administration to foster a productive culture of communication and openness. This position requires travel 50% of the time, is home-based.
Only candidates with nursing home experience of at least 3 years will be considered.
Responsibilities
- Be primary point of contact for all account management and clinical service-related matters
- Manage client requests, problems or issues requiring resolutions and correction, especially as they pertain to site practitioners and/or staffing, best clinical practices, and customer satisfaction/retention
- Take lead with scheduling meetings and discovery to resolve customer complaints, concerns, issues and follow through with communication and action plans
- Timely and successful delivery of service solutions relevant to customer needs and objectives
- Develop strategic growth plans and clearly communicate/present progress at monthly/quarterly meetings to company Directors and Owners
- Track and report on key account metrics surrounding Practitioner productivity, quality measures, compliance and profitability
- Monitor account staffing and activity to assure accounts are meeting productivity expectations
- Independently and autonomously create actionable next steps that identify new opportunities and add to portfolio of accounts and/or services.
Requirements and skills
- Proven work experience in nursing home sector or practitioner group that services nursing homes
- Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence facility leadership at various levels of the organization
- Independently and autonomously organize, schedule and coordinate workday
- Experience delivering realistic solutions that meet a customer’s expectations
- Ability to juggle multiple projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail and communication
- Be the calm in the storm
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of state regulations and CMS star-rating’s categories
- Solid experience with Teams, MS Office (particularly MS Excel and Power Point) and be generally tech savvy
- BA/BS in nursing, healthcare administration, business or marketing, or other healthcare related field
