Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll and Administrative Assistant to join our team at a small and growing Private Home Health Care agency. This position will be responsible for assisting with payroll processing, maintaining accurate employee records, ensuring compliance with payroll regulations, and other administrative tasks such as tracking client and employee expenses. Experience in a home health care or related business would be a plus! Responsibilities:
- Assist with processing payroll for employees on a regular basis
- Ensure accurate calculation of wages, deductions, and taxes
- Maintain employee records and update changes in employment status
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters
- Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve any issues or errors
- Assist with administrative tasks such as employee and client expenses
- Collaborate with Operations Manager on creating system and process efficiencies
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Payroll or Administrative Assistant or similar role, ideally in a small company setting (<50 employees)
- Proficiency in using payroll software such as ADP Workforce Now (or similar) and Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with Adobe PDF tools, electronic signature platforms such as HelloSign, and server storage platforms like Dropbox
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills to interact with employees and Executive Team
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
