Animal Urgent Care is currently hiring for our brand new hospital located at 120th and Chambers in the Brighton/Commerce City area. We have an excellent reputation among our veterinary communities in Arvada and Denver, and cannot wait to benefit our new local community. There are all the normal perks to working in ER - great pay, plenty of recharge time away from work, excellent medicine and equipment, and the purpose that drives us every day. In many ways, we are what some people might consider “unique,” though. We are a highly democratic bunch and strive to involve all team members in big (and small) decisions. Our leadership team is comprised of people with experience working on the floor in an ER, and it shows. The current teams in Arvada and Park Hill are comprised of a lot of long-time, loyal teammates who share not only a vision for the practice, but values that allow us to work together in a way that does not allow for workplace cruelty, gossip, or self-centeredness. To put it bluntly: the mean girls don’t last if they make it on board at all. Our goal is to have a happy, healthy, growth-focused group of people who support one another through the trials and tribulations of working in ER veterinary medicine. We are looking to add teammates to our Northeast hospital from all levels of experience, but they simply must possess the soft skills that support our value system. Our Team Agreements are as follows:
- We are in this together
- Celebrate 7 positives per negative
- Respect & help each other, regardless of position
- Collaborative task allocation/share responsibility
- Meet people where they are
- Seek understanding
- Go to the source with concerns
- Understand their view
- Be open to giving and receiving feedback
- Use "what" questions
- Give recognition & acknowledgement
- Speak from the "I"
- Ask for what you want and need
- Check in with each other
- Assume positive intentions
- Pause/ground/ center/choose your reaction
- Give everyone the benefit of the doubt
- Treat everyone as you want to be treated
- Utilize Accountability parameters (below)
- Say, "I'm sorry."
- Take responsibility
- Accept your role
- Learn from it
- Listen
- Acknowledge
- Tell the truth about your reality
- Make a commitment to change and plan next steps
Benefits and compensation are excellent and will be discussed in much greater detail.
