Job Title: Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant
We are seeking a detail-oriented Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in fostering relationships with referral partners, clients, real estate agents, lenders, and underwriters to cultivate new business opportunities. You will facilitate the completion of real estate loan applications, collect, analyze, and review supporting loan documentation in accordance with loan guidelines, and provide support throughout the loan application process. Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support, including screening and making calls, booking appointments, and other tasks as needed.
- Handle customer and in-house inquiries about transactions to ensure a smooth process and excellent customer service.
- Verify that all loan package documentation received is accurate and complete according to company policies and procedures, and report any discrepancies to the loan originator or loan officer.
- Serve as the primary contact and liaison between clients, the branch manager, and the assigned loan originator, and conduct meetings to coordinate follow-up items.
- Gather and coordinate necessary loan documentation required for verifications and underwriting, such as loan files, loan packages, credit reports, and additional mortgage application paperwork.
Qualifications:
- Understanding of basic loan financing options such as conventional loans, FHA, VA, adjustable/fixed, commercial loans, etc.
- NMLS license is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in MS Office is required; experience with CRM, MLS, DU, and Arive LOS mortgage software is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- 1-2 years of experience as a Loan Officer Assistant, Loan Officer, or Processor is preferred.
