Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to medical staff and ensure the comfort and well-being of patients.
Duties:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Take and record vital signs accurately
- Aid in the mobility and lifting of patients as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient rooms
- Update and maintain medical records under the supervision of nursing staff
- Provide care in various settings such as pediatrics, Level II Trauma Center, Emergency Medicine, and Infectious Disease Care
- Adhere to aseptic techniques to prevent infection spread
- Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology
- Uphold patient confidentiality according to HIPAA regulations
Experience:
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant is a plus
- Familiarity with patient care practices and procedures
Skills:
- Proficient in patient care techniques
- Ability to handle medical records accurately
- Experience in pediatrics is advantageous
- Capable of lifting and moving patients safely
- Familiarity with Level II Trauma Center protocols
- Knowledge of Emergency Medicine practices
- Understanding of Infectious Disease Care procedures
- Proficiency in anatomy knowledge for patient care purposes
- Skilled in aseptic technique to prevent infections
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations for patient privacy
