Job Overview:
Ensure the quality of our software by contributing to the software development process, helping to define QA artifacts, and utilizing automation tools. You will work closely with product owners and software engineers to implement and execute automated and manual testing to help identify issues across multiple integrated systems.
Responsibilities:
Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities
Design, develop and execute automation scripts
Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs
Perform and document risk analysis
Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
Develop standards and procedures to determine product quality and release readiness
Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
Proficiency in decomposing requirements and developing test automation for projects of simple to high complexity
Practice automation development efficiency, maintainability, and reusability
Understand software quality best practices, test strategy and planning, test case development, test case deployment and execution, test data, defect tracking, and test automation; actively participate in process improvements
Develops, implements, and manages processes to ensure that products meet required specifications for quality, function, and reliability before delivery
Identifies and sets appropriate quality standards and parameters for products.
Communicates quality standards and parameters to the QA team, product development team, and other appropriate staff
Coordinates product testing processes aligned with team delivery and across product delivery streams
Identifies and analyzes issues, bugs, defects, and other problems, particularly when problems recur in multiple products; recommends and facilitates solutions to these issues
Reviews client, customer, and user feedback throughout the delivery cycles
Requirements:
Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent preferred
A minimum of 4 years of experience in enterprise and large-scale internet-facing software quality
Minimum of 2 years of experience in testing Web Services and API interfaces
Experience with load-testing applications
Proficient in scripting languages, such as Python, JavaScript, or similar
Experience working with Postman for API services testing
Experience with bug-tracking platforms
Experience with online collaboration tools
Communication skills - English, verbal, and written
Technical writing skills desired, not required
Experience documenting test results within Jira or similar issue tracking system
A minimum of 4 years of experience with the following:
Agile development methodologies and SDLC processes
Strong QA fundamentals (both white- and black-box testing, agile process)
Coding for automation, without reliance on record and playback scripting
Deep working knowledge of automated code coverage and static analysis software
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or field related to the products being developed required.
Three to five years of experience in related fields.
