Overview: As the Evening Shift Restaurant Supervisor in our small business setting, you will oversee and lead the evening operations of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional service and team performance. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and employee morale.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate all activities during the evening shift, including front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
- Directly manage a team of 10-12 employees, providing leadership, guidance, and support.
- Ensure seamless service delivery and uphold quality standards in food preparation, presentation, and customer service.
- Train, coach, and motivate team members to enhance their skills and maintain high levels of productivity.
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders as necessary to meet operational needs while controlling costs.
- Enforce health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with food handling and sanitation guidelines.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly, striving to resolve issues to achieve guest satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the management team to implement policies, procedures, and strategies to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
- Conduct regular shift meetings to communicate goals, updates, and performance expectations to the team.
- Manage administrative tasks such as scheduling, payroll verification, and reporting.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a supervisor or shift leader in a restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a small team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, including food service, inventory management, and compliance with health and safety standards.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Certification in food handling and safety practices (preferred).
- Bilingual English/Spanish
